MAP OVERVIEW
I had two main goals in mind when creating this map. The first thing was to make something with a big centrepiece that is the central point of the map where all of the fighting takes place. The second thing I wanted was a map that was more vertically oriented, where the player could quickly transition between levels.
FLAGBASE
The idea behind the flag base was to have an area with multiple entry and exit points, where you could use several approaches to get to and from the flag.
OUTSIDE
The outside area was designed so that the defending team had advantage in terms of line of sight and height, but with very exposed sides so that the attacking team could flank around them if they are not paying attention.
UNDERGROUND
Meant as a bottleneck between the flagbase and the pyramid where very narrow spaces and height advantage gives the defending team the upper hand, but if the attacking them get through they have the quickest route to the flag.
PYRAMID UNDERGROUND
An open area with a powerful Power-Up in the middle and two jump pads that takes the players up the upper floor of the pyramid.
PYRAMID GROUND FLOOR
The middle area of the pyramid with possibility to traverse both up and down in the pyramid. Its the quickest route through the pyramid but is also the most narrow route.
PYRAMID UPPER FLOOR
An area that gives a great view of all the floors of the pyramid and can be used to surprise attack the enemy team, but is also the most exposed area since it can quickly be reached from almost every area on the map.
